PLN Increases 20 Gensets To Meet Electricity Needs in Sanana

INDUSTRY.co.id - Sanana - PLN brings 17 generators from Ambon and Ternate with a total capacity of 780 kW to meet the electricity needs while in Sanana, Sula Islands, North Maluku.

All generators that arrive in Sanana on Saturday (22/7/2017) that morning, preferably to supply electricity needs in vital locations, such as hospitals, government offices, places of worship as well as emergency posts established by PLN.

In addition, PLN will also soon bring 3 units of engine from Ternate each with a capacity of 800 kW. The three engines are expected to arrive at Sanana on Sunday (7/23/2017) morning. Transportation of these machines is using the sea route with travel time for 36 hours.

At this time as many as 30 PLN personnel consisting of technical and non-technical teams have also arrived to assist the process of electrical recovery in Sanana.

Manager of Human Resources and General PLN Maluku and North Maluku Region Eddy Irawan said, in addition to the process of loading and installing the generator machine, PLN is cleaning the location of the Waikalopa power plant and set up 5 additional emergency posts targeted for completion this Saturday.

This emergency post will also function as an information center for the community regarding the progress of electricity recovery in Sanana.

"Our focus now is on how the process of restoring the Sanana electricity system can be done well and the needs of the community can be met and we are very helpful to the local government and the local people who are proactive in helping the smooth recovery process," said Eddy.

With the presence of mobile gensets in these vital locations, PLN is trying to make public service places in Sanana, especially hospitals, able to keep operating optimally. PLN also provides a "free charger" post at PLN emergency posts.
