PT Pertamina Continues to Develop Non-cash Transactions

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - PT Pertamina (Persero) continues to develop a payment system of Fuel Petroleum (BBM) scheme nontunai (cashless) at several Fuel Station General (SPBU).
Based on information received by Antara in Jakarta yesterday, PT Pertamina Marketing Operation Region I (MOR I) is also committed to play an active role in encouraging the use of non-cash transactions on fuel transactions at Pertamina SPBU throughout West Sumatra which is poured through a joint agreement with West Sumatra Provincial Government and Bank Indonesia.
The Memorandum of Understanding was signed directly by Retail Fuel Marketing Manager Region I, Agus Taufik Harahap with Endy Dwi Tjahjono as Head of Representative Office of Bank Indonesia West Sumatra, and Nasrul Abit, Vice Governor of West Sumatra, held in Padang.
Agus Taufik Harahap in his speech said that the synergy program between Pertamina, West Sumatera Provincial Government and Bank Indonesia is an effort to support the National Non-Land Movement (GNNT) program through the acceleration and expansion of non-cash transaction transactions.
"With this memorandum of agreement is a form of Pertamina's commitment to take an active role in encouraging non-cash transactions, we realize that as retail business actors with outlets spread across the country, Pertamina has a substantial role to succeed in the payment electronication program or the National Non-Land Movement (GNNT )," said Agus.
Non-cash transaction implementation plan will begin to be implemented at all gas stations in Padang City in January 2018 by applying non-tariff special lane then continued to other area to cover all of West Sumatera. The application of the program will be divided into 4 stages using evaluation at each stage.
The community will receive socialization in advance about the benefits and advantages of cash non transactions. Then the application will be facilitated by closer cashless instruments through the banking corner that serves debit cards, credit cards, and electronic money at all gas stations.
"In addition, to facilitate consumers in non-cash transactions, Pertamina will hold a cooperation program with Bank BUMN Bank BRI as a provider of banking services to facilitate its application to the community.With the program of cash transactions in this cooperation, the transaction in gas stations will become more practical and benefiting consumers, " Agus said.
