Hadi Tjahjanto: I Will Always Honor The Soldiers Oath

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta- President Joko Widodo inaugurates TNI Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto as TNI Commander in the State Palace.

The inauguration was based on Presidential Decree No. 82 / TNI Year 2017 on Dismissal of TNI Commander General Gatot Nurmantyo and Appointment of TNI Commander Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto dated December 8, 2017.

"By Allah I swear that I am to be appointed in this position either directly or indirectly with any form or pretext nor give or agree to give anything to anyone," Hadi said following the remarks of President Joko Widodo at the State Palace of Jakarta, Friday (8 / 12/2017)

The contents of the next vow are "that I shall not accept a gift or a gift of any kind from anyone I know or should be able to suppose that he has the thing or may be concerned with my position or occupation".

"That I will always uphold the oath of soldiers," Hadi added.

Attending the inauguration were the 5th President Megawati Soekarnoputri, Vice President Jusuf Kalla, ministers of the working cabinet and a number of heads of institutions and high-ranking state agencies.

Hadi replaces General Gatot Nurmantyo who will enter retirement on April 1, 2017.
