NTT Tourism Sector Offered to EU Investors

INDUSTRY.co.id - Kupang - The Provincial Government of East Nusa Tenggara offers a number of investment opportunities to EU representatives at a joint meeting of the provincial government in Kupang on Monday (05/29/2017)

NTT Governor Frans Lebu Raya told media crews in Kupang after the meeting mentioned a number of investment opportunities offered to the EU such as tourism, agriculture, and marine fisheries.

He said the EU delegation made a three-day visit to the area to look at projects funded by grants through local community institutions.

"There is education, tourism, empowerment, economy, livestock, and today they are to Soe, South Central Timor District to see the development of livestock there," he said.

The EU, he said, also asked about the infrastructure needed to support the pace of development in the archipelago.

In addition, he continued, there are also other questions related to how the relationship with neighboring countries both Timor Leste and Australia.

"I have already explained that the relationship with both countries is going well and we are encouraging the cooperation of triangle economic growth and with Timor Leste and Australia," he said.

He said the EU also expressed appreciation to the government and the people of NTT who have received awards related to religious harmony from the Ministry of Religious Affairs some time ago.

Governor Lebu Raya said, in addition to grant aid from the European Union, he also requested that EU representatives could promote and encourage EU investors to enter into investment.

"There are still many investment potentials and opportunities in East Nusa Tenggara that require investment so that local governments are ready to facilitate if outside investors are interested in helping to build this region together," he said.
