INDUSTRY.co.id - Yogyakarta - Indonesian President Joko Widodo and Environment Minister and Forestry Minister Siti Nurbaya gave awards to environmental activists to coincide with the Indonesian Tree Planting Day 2017 in Ponjong, Gunung Kidul on Saturday (9/12/2017). One of the recipients of the award for his action in the environmental field is Reswara Group through its subsidiary PT Tunas Inti Abadi.

PT Tunas Inti Abadi received awards in efforts to rehabilitate watersheds in South Kalimantan, especially in Tanah Bumbu. TIA is considered successful in rehabilitating critical watershed conditions by planting mangroves.

President Jokowi said the planting action is not just planting alone. Plant care should be taken to allow the plant to grow and can improve environmental conditions. In addition, it can also support the economy of the local community.

"We are grateful to the environmentalists both local leaders, corporations, community groups as well as individuals for their concerns. But most important is to maintain and care for trees that have been planted. This is important. Do not just nanam, ceremonies and leave," said President Jokowi in Ponjong.

TIA President Director Dadik Kiswanto expressed his gratitude to the Government for appreciating what the TIA team has done. This has become an excitement for the company.

"We have been doing watershed rehabilitation since we operate. Gradually, we planted mangrove in Tanah Bumbu. In addition we also do planting and plant maintenance in Tahura Sultan Adam Tiwingan, Banjar Baru, South Kalimantan," explained Dadik.

Dadik hopes that in the future all mining companies will care about the environment. There can be no stigma that mines can only damage the environment. Mine can also benefit the environment and society if managed properly and properly.

On the same occasion, President Jokowi took time to plant teak trees in limestone limestone Ponjong, Gunung Kidul
