INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Secretary General of the Ministry of Industry, Haris Munandar is optimistic that the realization of investment in industrial sector in 2018 will increase.
"If we look at the target set at 5.67% next year, that means one factor of investment, we are optimistic that the investment will increase," said Haris after attending the seminar held by Industry Journalist Forum (Forwin) at Jakarta (13/12/2017).
He added that currently the realization of investment in the industrial sector reached Rp200-300 trillion. "It is expected next year the realization of investment reaches Rp400 trillion," he explained.
According to him, the increase of realization comes from various industrial sectors. "From the downstream side we have a smelter, from the side of our industrial area there are already 16 industrial areas that will attract a lot of investment, then from the petrochemical side there are also some who will enter and expand, from the side of agro will also soon come in," added Haris .
However, continued Haris, the realization of investment in 2018, the contribution is still dominated from the three industrial sectors namely the sector ILMATE, Agro, and IKTA.
"From ILMATE we still rely on investments in the metal industry, for the agro industry, of course from CPO and its derivatives, while for IKTA sector comes from the chemical industry," he said.
As is known, the Ministry of Industry targets the growth of non-oil and gas processing industry in 2018 of 5.67 percent.
This achievement will be driven by all subsectors, especially basic metal industries, food and beverages, transportation equipment, machinery and equipment, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, and electronics. In addition supported also the development of industrial parks in various regions in Indonesia.
