INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - PT Amartha Mikro Fintek (Amartha) through its financial technology (fintech) business unit Amartha looks at the problem of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) that find it difficult to get loans from banks as business opportunities.

Amartha CEO Andi Taufan Garuda Putra said that Amartha's financial technology business unit (fintech) comes as a substitute for banking in getting loans to promote the community.

"The government cannot move on its own, there must be another role, Amartha is present to provide inclusive services to the community, especially the rural community, we want to eliminate the economic inequality and disparity," said Taufan in Jakarta, Wednesday (26/7/2017).

Amartha said that UMKM is one of the key drivers of the economy in Indonesia, the more Indonesians investing in MSME will automatically also advance the economy while minimizing economic imbalances.

For that Amartha innovate with microlending to realize the inclusive finance of Amartha online investment platform for the MSMEs.

Taufan explained that Amartha touches the rural community so that they gain access to venture capital even if they do not have a bank account. "Amartha provides a more affordable option with a competitive outcome share," he said.

Through the Amartha peer-to-peer platform, investment funds are also secured and investors can immediately know who will be financed like a brooch craftsman, a doorkeeper, a rengginang maker, and so on.

"If Amartha reaches out to women, who are in remote areas scattered on the island of Java," he said.
