Djarot Saiful Hidayat is Demonized by PDI-P As Candidate of Governor of North Sumatera

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - PDI Perjuangan appointed former DKI Jakarta Governor Djarot Saiful Hidayat as the candidate for North Sumatra governor candidate to compete in elections simultaneously in 2018.

DPP PDI Perjuangan Chairman, Megawati Soekarnoputri, announced this at the office of DPP PDI Perjuangan, Menteng, Jakarta, Thursday.

According Megawati, himself with the Secretary General and several DPP PDI Perjuangan officials have several times to Sumatra to find the candidate figure of North Sumatra governor, but have not felt there is comfortable.

In a dialogue with the PDI-P secretary general, Hasto Kristiyanto, Megawati said, why not only close people to be appointed as candidates for governor of North Sumatra.

Hasto asks who are those close people? Megawati mentioned, "Djarot Saiful Hidayat".

Hasto also agreed and then, it was decided to be appointed as a candidate for governor of North Sumatra.

According to Megawati, although the PDI-P had decided, Djarot is a prospective candidate for governor of North Sumatra, but today just a notice.

"It will be officially announced on January 7," he said.

According to Megawati, the Government made North Sumatra, as one of the centers of national economic progress.

The government built the port of Kuala Tanjung, Silangit Airport, and developed the main tourism of Lake Toba as one of the priority tours.
