PGN is Ready to Secure Gas Supply for Industrial Estate

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGN) set a target to be able to secure the supply of natural gas in Indonesia. This is to help the government achieve the government's industrial growth target of 5.67 percent.
Head of Marketing and Product Development Division PGN, Adi Munandir said, to support the national industry, PGN also prepared a strategy called PGN 360 Degree Integrated Solution.
"PGN 360 Degree Integrated Solution is an integrated solution to provide services from upstream to downstream through PGN Group aimed at addressing industry needs through the development of several solutions," said Adi in Jakarta (4/1/2018).
He added that some of these solutions include gas utilization solutions, gas supply solutions for all user segments, engineering solutions, and other support system solutions.
"Only with integrated gas policy, domestic can be utilized optimally domestically," he said.
PGN's participation to assist the achievement of the national industry growth target of 2018 of 5.67 percent is also expected by the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
Secretary General of the Ministry of Industry, Haris Munandar revealed, one of the supporters of industrial growth is the non-oil sector. This sector is a major driver of Indonesia's economic growth because it is able to provide a broad derivative effect to the community.
In addition to increasing employment, an industrial estate can drive investment and increase export value. For this reason, the availability of energy is absolutely necessary to realize the growth of these industrial sectors.
"In 2018, our economic growth is targeted at 5.67 percent," said Haris.
On this matter, Adi Munandir asserted, PGN is ready to secure the supply of natural gas to help the government achieve its industrial growth target next year.
He further explained that industrial planning and action integrated with the distribution of natural gas becomes one way to maintain industry growth in the long run.
"Only with integrated gas policy, domestic gas can be utilized optimally for domestic industry, as well as to support the creation of new markets," said Adi.
Therefore, Adi is optimistic that the PGN 360 program will be able to develop the company's business line in all the distribution chain from the provision, infrastructure, utilization, and support services.
