Optimistic Pharmacy Business Growing in 2018, Kimia Farma Targets to Open 50 Outlets in Surabaya

INDUSTRY.co.id - Surabaya - PT Kimia Farma Tbk. (KAEF) is optimistic that pharmacy business in 2018 will continue to grow. This year KAEF targets to open 50 new branch outlets in Surabaya.

Business Manager of PT Kimia Farma Tbk Surabaya Imam Susanto said, currently in Surabaya there are 42 branches of pharmacies and nationally Kimia Farma already has 1,000 pharmacies and 500 clinics.

Throughout 2017, Kimia Farma in Surabaya continues to focus on adding new branches and by 2018, efforts to add branches of new pharmacies will be more intense.

"We have targeted some strategic places, especially in Surabaya, our sales growth is quite good, which is 10 percent throughout 2017. Surely this is our trigger to continue to open a new branch," said Imam.

As the third largest pharmaceutical company in Indonesia, KAEF is targeted to grow 25% in 2018.

Members of the House of Representatives Commission VI Bambang Haryo, when visiting the Office of Kimia Farma in Surabaya said Kimia Farma's target to add branches must continue to be done.

"Especially the clinic of Kimia Farma in Madura must be immediately accelerated, for supporting and guarantor of public health," he said.
