INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Indonesia soon will enter the political year, the property industry is considered to grow better when compared with the year 2017. Hope comes because the government is more optimistic with the situation and economic conditions in the country.

President Director of PT PP Properti Tbk. Taufik Hidayat said Indonesia's economic situation and condition last year was influenced by global economic movement. This is because the United States (US) has a new government and impact on the direction of economic policy and the slowdown in China's economy.

"These two countries, namely the United States and China, are Indonesia's largest export destination, so that when they fall, it will affect domestic conditions, especially high-end property business," said Taufik Hidayat, in Jakarta (9/1/2018).

According to him, it can also be seen from the rental offices on the main street in Jakarta down, there is an impact on the rental of five-star hotel, and upscale apartments are relatively decreased. So growth will occur in the middle and lower classes.

"But in the middle and lower classes it is backlog and there are about 10 million to 11 million in lower and middle class," he said.

Furthermore, he said, PP Properti believes can continue to grow positively in 2018. The reason, it targets the middle and lower class segment.

"In PP Properti we target the middle class and focus on the location of good interest points for the middle class either on campus or industrial area," he concluded.
