INDUSTRY.co.id - Sidrap - The Progress of the construction of a 75 MW Bayu Power Plant (PLTB) Sidrap located in Watang Pulu Subdistrict Sindereng Rappang Regency of South Sulawesi Province, has now reached 90%.
From the target of 30 Wind Turbine Generators (WTG), 25 WTG have been successfully completed, the rest will be completed by mid-February. Sidrap PLTB is the largest PLTB in Southeast Asia which is included in the 35,000 MW program.
With a capacity of 75 MW, is projected to electrified 70,000 customers in South Sulawesi with an average electric power of 900 VA. Total will be installed 30 turbines in the PLTB. The turbine has a height of 80 meters and a blade of 57 meters long. The PLTB is expected to be completed on target of 25 February 2018.
"I hope the progress of the completion of the PLTB can be on schedule to serve the electricity needs of the community as well as the first PLTB in Indonesia to gradually meet the power of EBT which is expected to reach 25% by 2020" Rini Soemarno said during a visit to Makassar, Monday (15/1 / 2018).
Meanwhile, PLN President Director Sofyan Basyir explained that PLN oversees every detail of development progress, to ensure the first plant of the 35,000 MW program can be completed on target with good quality. In the construction of Sidrap PLTB using TKDN (Domestic Component Level) reached 40% and managed to absorb the workforce of more than 500 workers.
The electrical condition of the South Sulawesi (Sulbagsel) system is currently surplus, with 1257.3 MW of power and peak load of 1050 MW. Thus PLN still has 207.3 MW power reserves that can supply to customers.
