Pertamina Will Supply Three Million Ton LNG to Pakistan and Bangladesh

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - The Indonesian government through PT Pertamina (Persero) plans to disburse 3 million tons of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) to the two southern Asian countries, namely Pakistan and Bangladesh.
This decision will be discussed further when President Jokowi will make a working visit to the country in the near future.
"More intensive exploration, if it can fit the President (visiting) there can be up to Sales Purchase Agreement (SPA) .Obviously one of the agenda of ESDM discuss cooperation," said Vice Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Arcandra Tahar in Jakarta, Wednesday (17/1/2018).
Arcandra explained that each country will receive LNG supply from Pertamina about 1 to 1.5 million tons per year (Million Ton Per Annum / MTPA) with an estimated value of US $ 6 billion. "The trading value of each of these up to US $ 6 billion was the data I received," said Arcandra.
Later, the LNG export process that Pertamina will work with the red plate company of Bangladesh (Petrobangla) and Pakistan (Pakistan LNG Limited). The commitment contract between Pertamina and the two countries will last for 10 years.
This export policy is a follow up of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) agreement that has been previously signed between Pertamina and the two countries.
