President Jokowi Releases Humanitarian Aid for Rohingya Refugees

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - President Joko Widodo released humanitarian aid for Rohingya refugees at Cox Bazaar, Bangladesh at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base Jakarta, Wednesday (24/1/2018).
"Several times have been sent to Cox Bazaar, later this plane will descend to Chitagong, Bangladesh," said President Jokowi after reviewing humanitarian assistance that has been published in Hercules aircraft at Halim Perdanakusuma air base.
The President, who was accompanied by Vice President Jusuf Kalla, said Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh still need help in the form of medicines.
"It will be seen there because it fits the visit to Bangladesh if possible we want to look," he said.
Asked whether he would also visit the Field Hospital built with the help of Indonesia, the President said if possible would be done.
"If possible time, because of Dhakka to get there takes time," he said.
He mentioned from the reports received, which need help not only thousands but hundreds of thousands of refugees.
Merwja needs a helping hand from other countries. "I hope our consistency in providing assistance to Rohingya refugees," he said.
President Jokowi started this Wednesday on a number of South Asian countries, namely Sri Lanka, India, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Afghanistan. The visit will start from Sri Lanka on this Wednesday.
