Important Education As The Foundation of Future Nations

INDUSTRY.co.id - Pulaupunjung - Entrepreneur and owner of PT Tidar Kerinci Agung (TKA), Hashim Djojohadikusumo, said the world of education is important as the foundation of the future of the nation in the future, thus requiring the role of all people to advance it.

"Education cannot be imprisoned and deprived by anyone, because education is always in the mind of every human being," he said in Halal Bi Halal event with employees at Sports Hall of TKA, Jujuhan Asam Sub-district, Dharmasraya Regency, West Sumatera, Saturday (29/7/2017)

When asked about the role of foreign workers in advancing education that stands in three districts, namely South Solok District, DhaRmasraya District, and Muaro Bungo District. He said the company is ready to help through CSR funds.

"Since the TKA plantations cover these three areas, of course we are ready to help, so the community or the government can submit a proposal," he continued.

In fact, he said one of PT TKA's employee's children has been working as a flight attendant on a Singapore Airlines flight. It is evident that the company supports the advancement of the world of education.

"So that time when at the airport a child came up to me, then said, Pak I grew up in the education environment of PT TKA. In my heart of course very proud, because as the owner of the company feel has helped to advance education in Indonesia," he said.

In addition, the role and contribution of a teacher becomes important in transferring knowledge to the next generation of the nation.

Therefore, he urged people who work as teachers should be proud of the work they do as a teacher.

"Today I convey to the teachers of TKA and Dharmasraya in particular, proud to be a teacher, because my late father Sumitro Djojohadikusumo always tells everyone that he is a teacher, he is not proud to work as a minister, practitioner or economist, " he said.

Hashim Djojohadikusumo is the son of Prof. Economist. Dr Soemitro Djojohadikusumo once served as Minister of Economy and Minister of Research and Technology during the time of President Soeharto, as well as younger brother of Prabowo Subianto.

Hashim Djojohadikusumo and Environment and Forestry Minister Siti Nurbaya this afternoon are scheduled to inaugurate the Dharmasraya Sumatran Tiger Rehabilitation Center (PR-HSD) which is the conservation care program of the Arsari Djojohadikusumo Foundation (YAD).
