PT BBS: Production Target Unfulfilled Due to Illegal Trading

INDUSTRY.co.id - Bojonegoro - Oil and gas operators (oil and gas) Wonocolo Old Wells, Kedewan Sub-district, Bojonegoro District Pertamina Asset 4 Field Cepu will optimize production through Bjdeg Bojonegoro Bangun Sarana (BBS).

Asset Management Manager of Strategic Planning & Risk Management, Pertamina EP Center Manager, Teguh Budi Santoso, said that the old well production cooperation is known only with PT BBS.

"Cooperation which is known by the operator only to PT BBS is not related to other oil and gas management," he said after an evaluation meeting on the management of old wells at the Bojonegoro regency office yesterday.

While in the field, the traditional oil drilling is also managed by Village Unit Cooperative (KUD). The production contract with KUD will be exhausted in 2019. The operator plans not to renew the management contract with the KUD. According to the contract KUD manages five old wells.

"In the year 2019, the contract of wells management by KUD as many as five wells has been exhausted, we have no cooperation yet, but more optimize the management of BUMD," he explained.

The old well management contract is based on Ministerial Regulation (Permen) Energi Mineral Resources (ESDM) No. 1 of 2008 concerning Guidelines for the Exploitation of Mining Oil and Natural Gas at Old Wells. Cooperation contract operator with PT BBS conducted on August 16, 2017 ago. PT BBS is expected to produce 500 BOPD of crude oil.

"The fulfillment of the 500 BOPD production target is one of them due to illegal trading, there are still friends who still manage the old wells," said Director of PT BBS, Tony Ade Irawan.

In the cooperation contract, the number of wells held by PT BBS is 505 wells. However, per day, now there are only about eight to nine wells that continue to deposit to PT BBS. Of the amount of the deposit, crude oil production from PT BBS is only about 100 BOPD.

Tony said, in the near future, it will make a well service submission to the operator to achieve production targets. In addition, he admitted that he is now more focused on improving the traditional drilling administration, ranging from procurement guarantee BPJS allowance, PPE for miners and miners' welfare. (bj)
