Citilink Officially Opens Jakarta-Banyuwangi Flight Plan

INDUSTRY.co.id - Banyuwangi - Citilink airlines officially opened the Jakarta-Banyuwangi flight route using Boeing 737-500 aircraft with a capacity of 120 passengers.
Citilink will depart from Banyuwangi at 09.30 WIB, and landed in Jakarta at 11:15 pm. Meanwhile, from Jakarta the plane departed at 11:55 pm, and landed in Banyuwangi at 13:35 pm.
"Accessibility is key to improving the regional economy. We are happy, with challenges and limitations, Banyuwangi continues to grow. There was absolutely no flight, now seven times a day, there is Jakarta-Banyuwangi directly, there is Surabaya-Banyuwangi. These contribute to improve the welfare of the community, "said Regent Azwar Anas, Thursday (15/2/2018).
Meanwhile, Citilink President Director Juliandra Nurtjahjo said, the initial phase, the Jakarta-Banyuwangi route is worked once a day. Juliandra is optimistic that the frequency can increase as Banyuwangi progresses.
"Tourism development, investment, and other supporting sectors make Banyuwangi continue to grow, including education with the establishment of a number of state campus here," he explained.
He mentioned, a number of potential Banyuwangi destinations to be increased tourist visits, such as Ijen Crater, Plengkung Beach, savanna in Alas Purwo National Park, and a row of other natural destinations.
"The power of marketing with various tourist attractions in Banyuwangi Festival such as Gandrung Sewu Festival, Banyuwangi Ethno Carnival, and Tour de Ijen also make Banyuwangi much in demand," he said.
