Four Requirements Must be Fulfilled Related Zakat ASN

INDUSTRY.co.id - Kolaka - Minister of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia (RI) Lukman Hakim Saifuddin said the plan of zakat enforcement for the state civil service (ASN) must meet four conditions.

"There are four principal things that must be fulfilled to practice the charity.The first principle is the Muslim ASN," said Lukman Hakim in front of participants of dialogue of interfaith leaders in Kolaka, recently.

The second condition of Lukman's word, Muslim ASN must meet the criteria of Shari'a, or it will not be generalized to all Muslim ASNs.

"What is being discussed now is what Shari'a criteria for ASNs may be taxed, and that is what is being discussed at the moment," he said.

The third requirement is that the zakat taken from ASN is based on the contract or agreement to the person concerned.

"What the public should know is zakat ASN is not coercion and obligation, so that is not willing anything we need arrangements for the willing or willing," he said.

The fourth principle that must be fulfilled, he said, the government did not touch the zakat funds, so when the funds were collected directly to Baznas to use and distributed as appropriate.

"The distribution of zakat funds will be Baznas which involves amil zakat so that with this regulation we will build and realize the transparency and accountability system of Basnas," he said.
