INDUSTRY.co.id - London - The Indonesian Tourism Promotion Office in France (VITO) held promotions in Nice, Marseille, Lyon and Paris in order to increase tourist arrivals to Indonesia in 2018.
The event was held 12 to 15 March 2018, and VITO brings several tourism industries from Indonesia and France to meet with travel agencies France, said VITO France head Eka Moncarre in London, Friday (23/2/2018)
She explained that the event is packed in a roadshow held for the second time conducted by Indonesia, and is one of VITO France's marketing activities aimed at capturing markets located outside of Paris, where about 60 percent of travel agencies in France are located outside the capital of the country.
Many travel agencies in France do not know Indonesia, because they mostly only know Bali. The promotion is also to provide up-to-date information about Indonesia in general and to promote other regions in Indonesia outside of Bali, she said.
In every city, workshops will be held by inviting travel agencies in the cities. The invited travel agency will meet directly with the industry from Indonesia, so it is expected that there will be concrete transactions from this roadshow.
To attract travel agency in each city will be held a prize in which will be selected two winners per city to join FAMTRIP held Ministry of Tourism with the aim of Tanjung Puting in Kalimantan and Toraja in Sulawesi.
This roadshow is set directly VITO France and supported by the Ministry of Tourism, according to Eka Moncarre.
