Gave 10 Electric Cars, Mitsubishi CEO Claims Indonesia to be a Potential Market in Southeast Asia

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta, Mitsubishi Motors provides 10 units of electric vehicles to the Indonesian government through the Ministry of Industry.
The vehicles of the best quality are provided by Mitsubishi Motors as part of a joint study of the Ministry of Industry related to the development of electric vehicle infrastructure in Indonesia.
These vehicles will be included in a series of modeling studies on how existing transportation infrastructure in Indonesia today can accommodate electric vehicles.
Mitsubishi Motors CEO Osamu Masuko said today is an important moment for Mitsubishi Motors. The Indonesian government benefits from increased car ownership and a safer and friendlier environment.
"We see Indonesia as one of the most promising markets in Southeast Asia, bringing challenges such as balancing the drive toward greater mobility with the need to protect the environment," Osamu said at the Ministry of Industry, Jakarta on Monday (26/2/2018) .
He added, we understand that the Indonesian government is very enthusiastic about the development of electric cars. "What we do may be small, but we are honored and happy to support the spirit of the Indonesian government starting from 10 units," he explained.
Furthermore, Osamu said, Mitsubishi Motors is recognized internationally as the first manufacturer to start mass production of EV in 2009. "We have more than 150 thousand electric cars including PHEV and we will continue to invest in EV and PHEV technology," he continued.
As our long-term commitment to Indonesia, Osamu added, we recently demonstrated with the launch of our new factory in Bekasi, together with the finalization of a series of agreements with the Indonesian government.
The tenth electric car delivered by Mitsubishi Motors that is, 8 units of Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV, 2 units of i-MiEV electric vehicle and 4 units of quick charger.
