Trade Minister Asks Bulog to Distribute Rice to Traditional Markets

INDUSTRY.co.id - Cirebon - Minister of Trade, Enggartiasto Lukita asked Bulog to distribute their rice to traditional market traders, aiming for people to buy affordable ones.

"Bulog rice is available, but not all rice traders have been putting rice on the bulog," Enggar in Cirebon said on Tuesday (27/2 / 2018)

The purpose of providing bulog rice in the market, said Minister of Trade for people can choose rice that is below the highest retail price (HET).

This is certainly not burdensome for people who are economically unable to buy rice above the HET.

"The goal is for people to get affordable rice and under HET," he said.

Enggar said he was traveling around some of the traditional markets and Bulog warehouse to ensure rice availability and nowadays he thinks rice prices have fallen.

"I want to make sure that the availability of it, indeed rice has tends to decrease, but if the bulog rice is available, then the people in need it can get in all markets," he said.
