Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Ensures Odd-Even Does Not Apply in Jagorawi Toll

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta- Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi confirmed that it will not apply the odd-even system policy on private vehicles on the Jagorawi toll road segment as implemented in the toll gate of Bekasi in the direction of Jakarta.

In addition to not implementing even-odd system policies on private vehicles on the Jagorawi toll road section, the Minister of Transport also ensures that there will be no restrictions on the operational freight transport of classes III, IV and V in the Jagorawi toll road as implemented in the toll booth of Bekasi.
On the other hand, the MoC will enforce the same three packages of congestion handling policies as those at the Bekasi toll gate to be enforced at Tangerang Toll Road.
With regard to this plan, the MoC expects to enforce this policy before the fasting month or around May.

He further said that with the enactment of Three Packages of Congestion Handling Policy in Jakarta - Cikampek Toll since March 12, it can encourage people to move from private transportation to mass transportation.
Previously, he explained a week since the implementation of the Three Packages of Congestion Handling Policy in Jakarta - Cikampek toll the number of traffic density on the toll roads decreased by 36 percent.
In line with the policy, the speed of vehicles on the toll roads increased by 22 percent.
Data from Jabodetabek Transportation Management Agency of the Ministry of Transportation mentioned the average speed in Jakarta - Cikampek Toll especially in Bekasi segment Jakarta direction every Monday-Friday at 06.00 WIB until 09.00 WIB can reach 60 kilometers per hour.
