Grab has been operating for four years in Vietnam

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Application service Provider Company based in Malaysia, Grab, said it had been operating in Vietnam four years ago.
"Today we heard the news that our competitors are expanding their services to Hanoi. Grab has a long history in Vietnam, we have been operating in the country for four years and have been present in 36 cities in the country," said Managing Director of Grab Indonesia, Ridzki Kramadiata. in a statement in Jakarta, Thursday (09/13/2018)
He said before in Indonesia the Grabbike service had been launched in Vietnam by understanding the culture of motorbike cycling in the country.
At present, he continued, Grab in Vietnam operates "hyperlocal", such as operational patterns carried out in Indonesia.
"Vietnam has GrabBike, GrabFood and GrabExpress services with very good growth," said Ridzki Kramadiata.
He stated that safety has always been Grab's top priority, including when expanding to new services and cities.
As proclaimed, Go-Viet, an online-based application that is an extension of the PT Karya Karya Bangsa (Go-Jek) application with local Vietnamese citizens officially operates in two cities of Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi.
Hanoi is the second city after Ho Chi Minh City which is the launch location of this application. In Ho Chi Minh City, Go-Viet first launched in August 2018.
"Today officially launched Go-Viet in Vietnam. Vietnam is the first country to expand Go-Jek. One special thing is the spirit of collaboration, combining Go-Jek technology, investment with the expertise of the local Go-Viet management team," CEO Go- Jek, Nadiem Makarim in Hanoi, Wednesday (12/9).
Meanwhile, the Go-Viet Co-Founder, Duc Nguyen hopes that the operation of Go-Viet can improve the economy of the Vietnamese community.
"The young generation of Vietnam develops digital financial technology. Together, it builds Vietnam's welfare and the quality of life in Vietnam. Currently, to utilize technology to improve the Vietnamese economy, we have therefore decided to become Go-Jek partners," he said on the same occasion.
Nguyen said, currently Go-Viet is only providing two services namely Go-Bike and Go-Send. Going forward, Go-Viet will also provide a number of services including Go-Car, Go-Food and Go-Pay.
Present on the occasion were President Joko Widodo, Minister of Communication and Information Rudiantara, Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno L. Marsudi, Secretary of the District Government Pramono Anung, Indonesian Ambassador to Vietnam and Vietnamese government officials.
