INDUSTRY.co.id - Palembang - Wahana Ottomitra Multiartha Tbk (WOM Finance) is pursuing the target of financing 1,000 contracts or an average of Rp10 billion per month in Palembang City through motorcycle and multipurpose financing products.

Head of Palembang WOM Finance Branch Zermi Nelko Saputra, Thursday (29/3/2018) said the company is optimistic that the monthly target can be reached until the end of 2018 due to positive economic growth in Palembang due to the Asian Games in August.

"We see the performance of the first three months of this year has been better than last year, therefore we are confident to reach the target until the end of the year," he said.

Zermi said the Palembang area is also set to achieve profit target of Rp12 billion this year.

According to him, the financing business also has peak season so that usually the realization can be above the average achievement of normal conditions.

"For example, ahead of Idul Fitri and entering the new school year, multi-purpose contract can reach 400 contracts," he said.

Currently the company serves Honda motorcycle financing, but also other Japanese motorcycle brands, such as Yamaha, Suzuki, and Kawasaki.

In the field of multipurpose financing, the company offers Mobilku and Motorku products where people can get financing with collateral BPKP vehicles.

Related to the ratio of bad loans (non-performing finance / NPF), Zermi, claims still quite good because under 3 percent.

"Palembang is relatively safe because its economic sector is not dependent on commodities like in other areas of South Sumatera," he said. (Ant)
