GATF 2018 Potentially Promote Riau Tourism

INDUSTRY.co.id - Pekanbaru- Garuda Indonesia Travel Fair (GATF) 2018 which officially re-held at SKA Mall Pekanbaru 6-8 April this, become a potential promotion for Riau Province tourism destinations to the international world.

"Hopefully Garuda Indonesia Travel Fair 2018 is a good entrance for tourism in Riau," said Head of Tourism Riau Province, Fahmizal Usman at the opening of Garuda Indonesia Travel Fair (GATF) 2018 in Pekanbaru, Friday (6/4/2018 )

Fahmizal said the Riau Provincial Government welcomed this GATF event as one of the efforts to support the development of tourism which is one of the priorities of national development by opening up connectivity.

"Now the connectivity has been done Garuda to launch tourism, stay longer travel agents must be sensitive and creative to create travel packages.

"The connectivity that has been built by many of these garuda should bring positive impacts for Pekanbaru, generally Riau. If the need is expected to boost visit from number two in Indonesia at this time after North Sulawesi in next year can be no one," hope Fahmi excited.

Meanwhile, Vice President of Garuda Indonesia Region I Domestic Sumatra Dian Ediono explained GATF event which is six times held and simultaneously in three cities.

"Pekanbaru now has become one of the potential for the commercial side, although with the change of shifting oil and gas products I am not pessimistic but more optimistic that tourism will be far shot again," said Dian.

According to him in this GATF event there will be 68 domestic and 22 overseas tours are offered in one year ahead with the cost of cheap tickets and full discounts.

He stated GATF 2018 also as an effort to help Garuda government promote tourism and introduce Pekanbaru, and Riau generally abroad.

"GATF is not only selling tickets, but also tour packages in Pekanbaru and Indonesia, together with Garuda we will sell tourist destinations Pekanbaru and Riau to 29 countries that become garuda flight visit," he said.

GATF 2018 is the annual agenda of Garuda Indonesia to appreciate customers who will travel by giving special ticket discounts and other promos for purchase during the event that is 6-8 April in SKA Pekanbaru Mall.
