BRI Acceleration of Student Loan Distribution in Education City

INDUSTRY.co.id - Malang - PT Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk continues to encourage the acceleration of student loan disbursement. Located in Malang, renowned as City of Education, Bank BRI cooperates with Universitas Brawijaya (UB) and Universitas Negeri Malang (UM).

Sis Apik Wijayanto Director of Institutional Relations of Bank BRI said that previously there were 11 state universities that signed cooperation agreement with BRI for student loan. It is expected that the scope of student loan BRI can be more evenly distributed throughout the universities in Indonesia.

"This is BRI's commitment to improve the quality of education in Indonesia, as well as our response to the President's directive that wants banks to provide financing facilities for students," said Sis Apik.

On a separate occasion (08/04), the signing of Cooperation Agreement (PKS) was also conducted between BRI Bank and State University of Malang to distribute student loan BRI.

"With this flexible financing scheme, Briguna Education is expected to spur public interest for advanced higher education, so that Bank BRI directly contributes to the improvement of education quality in Indonesia. Until the end of 2018 we are targeting the distribution of Briguna Education of Rp.100 Billion," said Sis Apik.
