Visit Madura, Minister Jonan Tells Society to Keep Safe Drilling Well

INDUSTRY.co.id - Sampang - The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) continues to make it easier for public access to clean water, by providing groundwater drill wells, which are conducted in areas that are difficult to water.
This time, the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Ignasius Jonan reviewed the location of the wellbore in Madura Island located in Tlagah Village, Banyuates Subdistrict, Sampang Regency, East Java Province, on Thursday (12/4/2018).
On his visit, Minister Jonan advised people to keep this well. "Please drill well is well maintained, because it is very useful," said Minister Jonan.
The drilling well in Tlagah village was built by Geological Agency of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources in 2017 and has a depth of up to 114 meters. This well drains 1.6 liters of water per second and is able to serve 2,304 people in the village.
In addition to Tlagah Village, there are six other wells built in Sampang District, located in West Bunten Village and Paopale Laok Village, Ketapang District; Karang Gayam Village and Rongdalem Village, Omben Sub District; and Bira Tengah Village, Sokobanah Sub-district.
The drill well of Desa Tlagah is one of 53 other drilling wells in East Java. The total discharge capacity of all boreholes in East Java reaches 83.30 liters / sec which is capable of providing access to clean water for 119,952 people in 18 districts / municipalities.
While nationally, since 2005, the ESDM Ministry has inaugurated 1782 wells for 5 million people across Indonesia.
