President Jokowi: Religious Counselor is a Character Example

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - President Joko Widodo in his speech during the Gathering of Religion Extension Officers throughout Central Java advised that religious instructors be a good character for the community.
"Positive thoughts will radiate an aura of spirit for all our people," said President Jokowi during the event held at Pancasila Field, Simpang Lima, Semarang City, Central Java Province, on Saturday.
According to the President, the role of extension of religion is very important to present a religion that is of course friendly for the people and interfaith life.
In addition, the religious instructor is also a guide of the people who must be able to cultivate motivation, hope and optimism, not a scaring guide and grow pessimism.
In his working visit, the President said religion and the state must be able to go hand in hand and mutually reinforce, not to disagree.
"The state provides protection in belief and religion provides divine guidance for the community in behaving and in society," said the President, adding the government apparatus and religious leaders should always work together to build a solid Indonesia.
Religious leaders and government officials are asked to continue to teach the attitude of tolerance and mutual understanding, and work together and synergize to all people.
"Working together to promote mutual understanding between religions, inter-ethnic and inter-social status," the President said.
The President appreciated the religious trainers from Central Java who attended the event as many as 5,711 people, both from representatives of Islam, Christianity, Catholicism, Hinduism, Buddhism, and Confucianism.
"It is remarkable that you have given sacrifice to the nation, nation and religion. It is remarkable for your commitment to strengthen the harmony of the nation and its extraordinary commitment to strengthen the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia strengthen Pancasila and strengthen Bhinneka Tunggal Ika," the President said in a statement from Deputy Protocol, Press, and Media Sector Secretariat of the President, Bey Machmudin.
