INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - DPP Chairman of the National Awakening Party (PKB) Muhaimin Iskandar believes that Electability of Joko Widodo will continue to rise when paired with him in the 2019 Presidential Election, namely Jokowi-Muhaimin or "Join".
"If in terms of our hard work the survey shows the highest Jokowi-Cak Imin so need to strengthen back to prove this couple," said Muhaimin in Jakarta, Monday (16/4/2018)
He believes "Join" Electability will continue to rise because he has gained a lot of support from the kiai, ulama, and society.
Muhaimin said the kiai's support to him is evenly distributed. For example some time ago hundreds of kiai and tens of thousands of people in Jember, East Java, confirmed himself to accompany Jokowi.
"Tomorrow at Demak, the ulama who have masses and fanatical supporters gather to support me in order to carry out the mandate and be elected in 2019," he said.
He said he never thought that Jokowi rejected him as a vice presidential candidate in the 2019 presidential election so he was confident of winning the contest.
Muhaimin who is also Vice Chairman of the Assembly of the Republic of Indonesia considers its high optimism because the constellation in the 2019 presidential election is not much of a competitor and he claims to have large capital that is the support of ulama, kiai and community.
"Competitors for vice presidents are few but different segments," he said.
In addition, he asserted that since 2014, PKB supports Jokowi earlier than Golkar Party and PPP so it is very reasonable that his party declared "Join" before the 2019 presidential election.
According to him, since the beginning PKB pioneered ways to win Jokowi in election rather than a sudden and reactionary expressed support
