INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta, In today's IIMS 2018 event, Mercedes-Benz introduced the EQ brand for the Indonesian market, a move that brings an exciting new direction in the re-classification of the E 350 e vehicle model as an EQ Power product.

The name EQ itself has the meaning of "Electric Intelligence" and derived from the values adopted Mercedes-Benz, namely "Emotion and Intelligence".

This new brand covers all the important aspects of customer-focused electric mobility and also goes beyond the vehicle itself.

EQ Technology offers a comprehensive ecosystem of electrical mobility, in terms of product, service, technology and innovation. EQ Power is a technology implemented in the E 350 e Plug-in Hybrid; a luxury sedan model that combines efficiency with ride comfort.

EQ technology derives from the values embraced by the Mercedes-Benz brand, namely emotion and intelligence.

Roelof Lamberts as President and CEO of PT. Mercedes-Benz Distribution Indonesia says this is a rare and proud moment for us, where we can introduce a brand new under the Mercedes-Benz portfolio that also includes Mercedes-AMG and Mercedes-Maybach.

"We believe that the EQ brand will take us forward to the future of mobility through emphasis and innovation in connectivity, autonomous driving capabilities and shared services," he said in Jakarta (19-4-2018).

"Through this technology, we reiterate that Mercedes-Benz is, and will always be, a pioneering brand in the automotive industry, just as it was when we created motor vehicles more than 130 years ago," Roelof said.
