Substitution of Pertamina CEO Related to Target Development of Refinery

INDUSTRY.co.id - Pekanbaru - Economic Observer of Riau University Dahlan Tampubolon considers that the change of President Director of PT Pertamina (Persero) Elia Massa Manik in the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders is full of political contents since the achievement of refinery development target has not been improved yet.

"It is expected that with the new Director, the refinery will gradually transform its production, so the new refinery will support the production of the old refinery," Dahlan told the media crew.

According to him, Cilacap Refinery, Balongan, Dumai and Balikpapan should be revitalized immediately. In addition a new refinery should also have its progress, such as those in Tuban with Rosneft, and that in Bontang with a consortium of Oman.

"Moreover, Pertamina has been given fiscal incentives by the government for the ease of the project so that this becomes the urgency of all parties to immediately complete the construction of the refineries," he added.

Admittedly, the performance of the old director Elia Massa Manik also considered many parties do not seem to be in tune with the Minister of SOEs.
