Starting in 2018, Waskita Karya's Net Profit Grows Nearly Fourfold

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - One State-Owned Enterprise (BUMN) that plays an active role as a national infrastructure development agency, PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk announced financial performance in the first quarter of 2018.
The year 2018 begins positively, with net income nearly fourfold from the same period the previous year. Waskita managed to book a net profit of Rp1,736 billion in the first quarter of 2018 compared to Rp426 billion in 2017 in the same period.
President Director of PT Waskita Karya I Gusti Ngurah Putra disclosed that Waskita continues to commit to prioritize aspects of K3LM, human resource capability and high quality operational standards based on Good Corporate Governance principles.
"Acceleration of growth must go hand in hand with good governance," said Director of PT Waskita Karya I Gusti Ngurah Putra through an official statement received INDUSTRY.co.id, Wednesday (25/4/2018).
In the first Quarter of 2018 PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk has completed the Raknamo Dam Project in NTT, Bakauheni Toll Road Project - Great Stable Phase I and Package 2 Sidomulyo - Kotabaru segment especially gate to gate Lematang - Kotabaru and Toll Ngawi - Kertosono along 87 kilometers.
This indicates the ongoing national development agenda with Waskita working on several national strategic projects.
Furthermore, several projects to be completed by PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk in 2018 are LRT Palembang project along 23.4 kilometers, Pasuruan Pasuruan Project - Probolinggo along 31 kilometers, Pemalang - Batang Toll Road along 39 kilometers.
The Solo - Ngawi Toll project is 90 km, Semarang - Batang Toll Road is 75 kilometers, the Medan - Kualanamu - Tebing Tinggi Toll Road Project is 62 kilometers long and the 57 kilometer Pejagan - Pemalang Toll Project where Sections 1 and 2 are already operating.
In completing these projects, PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk strives to strengthen Waskita's commitment to K3LM through the improvement of SOPs, working methods, and the improvement of the discipline of employees.
