President Jokowi Scheduled to Open Solo Keris Museum

INDUSTRY.co.id - Solo - President Joko Widodo is scheduled to inaugurate the opening of the Keris Museum for tourists next week, Wednesday, August 9, 2017. The opening ceremony of the Keris Museum was held by Surakarta City Government.
The certainty of the visit is confirmed by Solo Mayor FX Hadi Rudyatmo yesterday to the media crew in Solo "President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) is scheduled to inaugurate the Keris Museum in Solo, Central Java, Wednesday (9/8/2017) The event starts at 13.00 WIB. Will be preceded by a procession from Loji Gandrung. "
He said there are 171 kris collected by the museum which will be exhibited to the visitors.
"We choose the real value, do not think polytheists, if you worship keris its polytheists," he said.
He said the keris is one of the cultural heritages of Indonesia that has been recognized by the Organization of Education, Science and Culture (UNESCO).
Regarding the readiness of the museum, according to him, is still in the stage of cleaning and confirmed on August 9 is ready to be opened by President Jokowi, who is also former mayor of Solo.
Rudyatmo said initially planned to inaugurate the museum in the range of 25 to 27 August 2017 simultaneously with the implementation of Jamboree Mental Revolution centered in the city of Solo.
"I have called him, but the President requested to be accelerated on August 9, 2017 because at that time there were some agenda in Solo and Solo Baru which should be attended by the President," he added.
