Commission V of the House of Representatives on Thursday (26/4) made a working visit to the venue to ensure the readiness of the Dam. "Alhamdulillah, already up to 70% and insha Allah is ready to be used for ASEAN GAMES," said a member of Commission V DPR RI Sumitang, Majalengka, Subang, Nurhasan Zaidi. In addition to commission V, the head of the River Basin (BBWS) Cimanuk Cisanggarung, Head of West Java Irrigation Service, Directorate General of Human Settlements, and Director General of SDA also participated.

According to Nurhasan, this venue becomes a breakthrough and pride for the citizens of Majalengka. "We hope more than just ASEAN games, so that this dam can be patented as a center for racetrack sports athletes from Indonesia, from Majalengka to Indonesia," he said.

This dam also needs intense and long-term attention even though the event is over. "Therefore, we budget Rp 5 T, because it can also overcome 14,000 hectares of rice fields flooded so as to save the national food stock and raw water supply Cirebon, Banyuwangi, Majalengka, Kuningan (Ciayumajakuning)," added Nurhasan.

The ASEAN GAMES itself is scheduled to take place from August to September this year. Commission V of DPR RI suggested to Dirjen Cipta Karya, so that Range Dam can also be used as a tourist object. "For ASEAN GAMES I think it is very good, but it would be better if he is able to become a tourist attraction to improve the welfare of Ciayumajakunging community, especially Majalengka," said Nurhasan.
