House of Representatives: Investigate Incidents of Hostage Attack at Salemba Mako Brimob Prison

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta- Member of House of Representatives Commission III Didik Mukrianto wants a hostage incident in Mako Brimob Depok that killed members of the Police to be thoroughly investigated and explained the results in order not to reoccur in the future.
"Immediately after we got the actual information and facts, we asked the Police to take appropriate strategic steps, introspection and evaluation thoroughly in order to avoid these things again," said Didik Mukrianto in a release on Saturday (12 / 5/218)
According to Democrat Party politician, Police Headquarters should open various facts related events to the citizens in the country.
Police, he continued, should explain as brightly as possible to the public so that no news is confusing and can be misleading.
Didik also expressed concern and deep sorrow for the deaths of five members of the Police in the hostage incident at the Mako Brimob Detention Center.
Meanwhile the Commission for Missing Persons and Victims of Violence (Kontras) as reported by Antara stated the need for a thorough evaluation in Mako Brimob Prison, following the events of May 9, 2018 which resulted in the death of a number of police officers.
"In this case we encourage the Indonesian Police, Kemenkumham RI, BNPT, Komnas HAM, Ombudsman RI, Kompolnas, to cooperate to conduct a thorough evaluation," said Kontras Coordinator Yati Andriyani.
The Coordinator of Kontras said that this event still leaves a big question because remembering the Mako Brimob Rutan as a symbol of security and security from law enforcement.
