Pelni-Garuda Indonesia Expands Cargo Delivery Outreach

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - PT Pelayaran Nasional Indonesia (Persero) and PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk will expand the range of cargo shipping services between companies. With this partnership will further strengthen Pelni brand as one stop service company in logistics service.

Meanwhile, Garuda Sigit Muhartono, Director of International Cargo & Commerce of Garuda, said that in line with the government program to realize the synergy of SOEs, Garuda Indonesia and Pelni agreed to run GA-Pelni outlet service which is expected to increase the value of both companies' services.
The joint venture with Pelni is part of the company's expansion in expanding its cargo network in line with its efforts to target US $ 248.3 million in cargo business revenue performance in 2018.
"Increasing the growth of cargo business is one of them will be launched through the strategy of maximizing the company's cargo distribution network," said Sigit.
Furthermore, this cooperation will include the cooperation of Outlet cargo service which will be located at Pelni and Surya Bandar Logistik locations and will use Aero Jasa Cargo and Surya Bandar Logistik trucking service network.
