INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Chairman of the Indonesian Institute of Child Protection (LPAI) Seto Mulyadi appreciated the Ministry of Women Empowerment and Child Protection (KPPPA) which promised to provide special protection to children suspected terrorists in Surabaya.

"The child is not really the only child in need of special protection, and there are so many more children whose fathers are killed as terrorist suspects," Seto said in a press release in Jakarta on Friday (5/25/2018)

Although, said Seto, the "unexpected" status actually means that the concerned "has not been proven guilty", the children and wives of the suspected terrorists often also receive severe social sanctions.

The orphans and widows were expelled from their homes and ostracized in such a way, so the difficulty of surviving.

"Children are suspected terrorists, in fact in fact the whole society, needs certainty whether their parents are really terrorists or forever status as a suspected terrorist," he said again.

According to Seto, terrorism must be fought. Serious crimes must be dealt with a serious legal approach.

"Moreover, when acts of terror target children to suffer injuries and loss of life, the law must be firm without compromise," he said.

Seto said to counter the possibility of regenerating terror, the state must attend.

LPAI encourages the Ministry of Women Empowerment and Child Protection to also coordinate data collection, monitoring and special protection to terrorist and suspected terrorist children who have died.
