INDUSTRY.co.id - Sorong - This year, for the first time since 1975, Pertamina Dockyard Sorong has built two mooring boats with a capacity of 250 HP.

This vessel is a means of guiding aids, especially in guided off boats in guided action in mandatory waters, extraordinary wading waters and waters outside mandatory waters, especially for boats longer than 30 meters.

Based on information from Pertamina's official website, Monday (28/5/2018) mentions, the construction of mooring boat begins with keel lying which is marked by welding plate by Marine Services Manager Nindya Wasisto, Head of Dockyard Sorong Daniel Tampubolon and Representative of BKI Sorong Joustra.

Marine Services Manager Nindya Wasisto expects, with the construction of these two new vessels, all Pertamina Dockyard Sorong workers, gain valuable experience. At least, it can understand that building a new ship is something very important.

 "If they already have the confidence to build two new mooring boat units, then they will not hesitate to build bigger ships," said Nindya Wasisto.

Mooring Boat Project Management Development Team Chairman Albertus Anto Budi S said Dockyard workers are ready to build two units of mooring boat. This is evident from the enthusiasm of all workers and Shipping management.

With this support, Dockyard Sorong can give maximum contribution so that the completion targe can be achieved.

Pertamina Dockyard Sorong is one business unit of Marine Services - Marine function, repair and maintenance of Pertamina's ships and ships outside Pertamina.
