Minister Budi Make Sure the 1.300 Garuda Indonesia Pilot Problem Has Finished

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Minister of Transportation (Menhub) Budi Karya Sumadi confirmed that his side has received the report of Garuda Indonesia President Director Pahala N. Mansury about the threat of 1,300 Garuda pilots who will strike during Eid 2018.
According to him, the red-plated airline has been in communication with the pilots. Thus, the issue of pay rises demanded by pilots has been overcome.
"Already (reportedly Managing Director), he said could overcome," said Budi Karya at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, Monday (4/6/2018).
Budi Karya hopes that the Garuda Pilot Association (APG) and the company can find common ground on the issue of salary.
He continued, the problem is suspected differences of opinion between the management of Garuda with Garuda Workers Union (Sekarga).
"But this business with consumers yes, should not be included in the realm of consumers," he added as quoted by Okezone.
Furthermore, Budi Karya hopes that there will be no strike by Garuda pilots during Eid. The reason, mudik events is one of the sacred momentum of culture in Indonesia.
"We are again communication hopefully they do not strike yes, because this is the most sacred event, yes, we are communicating, God willing they hear what we want," he said
