BPS: The Visit of Foreign Tourist in North Sulawesi Up 65.70 Percent

INDUSTRY.co.id - Manado- The visit of foreign tourists (tourists) to the North Sulawesi Province (North Sulawesi) in the first quarter of 2018 increased by 65.70 percent.
"The development of foreign tourists in the first quarter of 2018 reached 39,613 people or increased 65.70 percent compared to the first quarter in the year 2017 of 23,906 people," said Head of Distribution Statistics Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) North Sulawesi Marthedy Tenggehi in Manado on Monday 4/6/2018)
He said the government's policy of opening a direct Chinese-Manado rental flight will have a significant impact on the visit of foreign tourists to North Sulawesi.
Marthedy said the number of foreign tourists coming to North Sulawesi through the entrance of Sam Ratulangi Airport in April 2018 was 10,200 people or an increase of 0.85 percent compared to March 2018 which amounted to 10114 people.
Compared with the number of visits by foreign tourists in the same month of the previous year, April 2017, 5,965 people in April 2018 increased by 71.00 percent.
The foreign tourists who come to China are dominated by 8,825 people (86.52 percent), followed by Germany 242 people (2.37 percent), America 119 people (1.17 percent), Hongkong 83 people (0.81 percent).
Singapore 73 people (0.72 percent), Netherlands 72 people (0.71 percent), Britain 66 people (0.65 percent), France 63 people (0.62 percent), Australia 61 people (0.60 percent) Japan 45 people (0.44 percent)
