588 Sapta Taruna Posts for Safe and Comfortable Mudik

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) alerted 588 Sapta Taruna Post which are spread all over Indonesia to provide safe and comfortable service in Lebaran season 2018.

"To keep the road condition steady during Lebaran 2018, the Ministry of PUPR has alerted 588 Sapta Taruna Post which are spread all over Indonesia. The post has resting facilities, drinking water, musala, and heavy equipment to anticipate road damage caused by natural disaster, "said Minister Basuki Hadimuljono in an official statement received in Jakarta, Sunday (10/06/2018).

Information on the locations of Sapta Taruna Post can be accessed through the website http://pu.go.id/mudik2018 which can also be accessed via mobile phone. In addition, there is a live streaming service to find out the traffic conditions from CCTV monitoring results installed in multiple locations and support car streaming monitoring system (SMS) that is connected with a satellite modem so it can report in real time.

The travelers can also request information on road conditions or report when they encounter national roads that have been damaged through the phone number 0812-8383-5757. Information and complaints of road conditions can also be through the downloadable Jalan Kita app on iOS or Android.

The PUPR Ministry also conducts traffic congestion monitoring through the Traffic Information System (Sindila) consisting of a traffic volume calculator. Sensors placed in the Cipali Toll Road, Soekarno Hatta Road Bandung, and Rancaekek
