INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Chairman of the National Board of Amil Zakat (BAZNAS) Prof Dr Bambang Sudibyo MBA CA gave a stern warning to BAZNAS Bone District, South Sulawesi Province related to the distribution of zakat fitrah to parties who have no right to receive it.

"BAZNAS will issue a strong warning letter for the violations committed," said Prof. Bambang in Jakarta, not long ago.

BAZNAS received information that BAZNAS Kabupaten Bone distributed some zakat fitrah to sub-district heads, Head of Religious Affairs Office of village heads up to 40 percent of the total collected zakat.

Responding to the problem, BAZNAS then deployed a team of Internal Audit Unit (SAI) and Legal Bureau to follow up the report.

"The Chairman of BAZNAS Kabupaten Bone admitted distributing zakat fitrah collected up to 40 percent to be distributed to amil. Of course it is not natural because the right to amil only 12.5 percent, "he said.

To avoid similar incidents, BAZNAS will issue a circular to the provincial BAZNAS and the regency / municipality BAZNAS as well as the amil zakat institution (LAZ) under the coordination of BAZNAS regarding the guidelines on the distribution of zakat fitrah.

Deputy BAZNAS, Arifin Purwakananta said, BAZNAS always reminded that the distribution should be done according to the laws and regulations of sharia.

"All BAZNAS amil stratum must pay attention to the rules that exist, because zakat regulated state laws and sharia in the Quran," he said.
