INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Director General of Electricity Andy Noorsaman Sommeng said that the foremost, outermost and lagging regions (3T) are the Government's main target of providing assistance in the form of free connection of 450 VA electric powers.
"Yes it is 3T, it is prioritized now, (its implementation) can be in the form of Lisdes (Electricity Village) from PLN," Andy said at the Secretariat General Building Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Jakarta, Friday (22/6/2018).
Andi added that the government is currently reviewing the use of suitable types of generators for acceleration of electrification in the 3T region.
The main reason for the Government to focus on isolated areas is the low consumption of the people over the use of electricity. "If 3T's ability to buy power is still low, will not be provided (installation of electricity)," added Andy.
The provision of free electrical installation of 450 VA, Andy explained, becomes important for the poor and vulnerable poor because the cost of installing electricity is currently charged to customers. The higher the electrical power, the higher the installation cost.
Even so, Andy added, it is possible that the subsidy will also be given to the people in the Java island belonging to the poor and vulnerable poor who are not in the integrated data that proposed the installation of new electricity 450 VA to PLN.
Related to the electricity subsidy for 900 VA power customers for households, Andy explained, the inclusion in the integrated data will not be changed, even the Government will increase the amount of electricity subsidy powered 900 VA if possible.
"Nothing reduced (electricity subsidies 900 VA) .There is actually the possibility of rising there because there are new customers," lid Andy.
For information, integrated data is an electronic system containing social, economic and demographic information from individuals with the lowest welfare status in Indonesia managed by the National Team for Accelerating Poverty Reduction (TNP2K) and the Ministry of Social Affairs.
