For that, he continued, BPBD Jember again distributed thousands of masks to the community in a number of locations to anticipate the pouring of volcanic ash that leads to Jember.
"We urge people to use masks when outside and outside the home because the volcanic ash can endanger health," he said.
According to him, BPBD Jember also provides information to the public about the eruption of Mount Agung that leads to Jember, so that information is expected to be delivered to the neighbors and relatives of his family.
"People do not need to panic about the impact of volcanic ash from Gunung Agung in Jember, but we urge people to use masks while traveling outdoors and reduce unnecessary outside activities," he said.
While one of Jember residents, Hasan who drives from Banyuwangi to Jember feel the volcanic ash rain attached to the windshield, so several times had to clean the glass of the car.
"Volcanic ash is visible attached to the windshield, so several times I have to clean up, so that the distance of view while driving the car is not disturbed due to volcanic ash," he said.
Meanwhile, the Center for Volcanology and Geological Hazard Mitigation (PVMBG) recorded Gunung Agung in Karangasem regency, Bali, catapulting the glowing lava out of the crater to the distance of 1.5 kilometers on Monday (2/7) at 21.04 WITA.
