Lombok Airport Remains Operated After Mount Agung eruption

INDUSTRY.co.id - Praya- General Manager of Lombok International Airport in Praya, Central Lombok regency, West Nusa Tenggara I Gusti Ngurah Ardita revealed that flight and operational activities of the airport remain normal post-eruption of Gunung Agung on the island of Bali.
"The airport operation is still normal and the impact is the flight to and from Bali," said I Gusti Ngurah Ardita in Praya, Friday (29/6/218)
Nevertheless, Ardita disclosed, four flights to and from Bali via Lombok International Airport (LIA) had to be canceled due to the closure of I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Bali.
"For the time being, four flights of flight are Wings Air IW 1851 & IW 1883, Garuda Indonesia GA 7049 and Lion Air JT 659 with total passengers 388. While for flight arrival which impact one flight namely Lion Air JT 658 with number of passengers estimated as many as 200 people, "he explained.
Currently, he thinks LIA's safety team continues to monitor the progress of the eruption of Mount Agung. Not only that, it also coordinates with related agencies such as BMKG and Perum LPPNPI for further developments.
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation issued NOTAMN A2551 / 18 dated 29 June 2018 addressed to all airlines and airports in the world related to the closure of International Airport I Gusti Ngurah Rai Bali due to volcanic ash eruption of Mount Agung. Termination of airport operations will be conducted for 16 hours starting on Friday (29/6) at 03.00 Wita until 19.00 Wita.
