INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Ovo digital payment platform collaborates with four strategic companies namely Grab, Alfamart, Moka and Bank Mandiri.

Ovo's President Director Adrian Suherman claims Ovo is currently the most widely accepted payment platform in Indonesia. "Ovo will be a universal digital wallet in Indonesia," he said in a press release in Jakarta on Saturday.

The Ovo payment platform can be made to pay GrabPay, payments at merchants using Bank Mandiri facilities, perform cash in transactions in Alfamart and connect with Moka which is a provider of cloud-based point-of-sale devices for retailers and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (UMKM). Adrian said the Ovo payment platform has been integrated with more than 300,000 merchants through Mandiri devices and 14,000 Alfamart outlets across Indonesia.

General Manager of Grab Indonesia Ridzki Kramadibrata said Grab users will also be able to perform top-up Ovo wallet through the driver. "We've been educating the driver partners for that," he said.

Adrian said later Ovo will expand the payment system through QR code technology. This new technology is expected to be able to serve non-cash transactions in Indonesian restaurants.

He explained that the payment system using QR code Ovo has coordinated with Bank Indonesia. "What we do and develop has been coordinated with BI, we make sure BI regulation will be obeyed," he said.

Ovo is a digital payment business unit of Lippo Digital Group within PT Visionet Internasional
