Social Minister Idrus Gives Refugee Relief Mount Agung

INDUSTRY.co.id - Karangasem - The central government through the Ministry of Social Affairs handed over the main aid to 4,894 Gunung Agung refugees submitted to the Government of Karangasem Regency, Bali Province on Saturday (7/7/2018).
"Currently we are handed over Rp156.6 million in aid, although it is not big enough, but the most important is the food, blanket and refugee needs we have prepared," said Minister of Social Affairs Idrus Marham when met at Monitoring Post Gunung Agung , Rendang Village, Karangasem, on Saturday.
The form of aid is in the form of logistics such as 20,000 picis mask, 60 dos biscuit malkis, 30 dos rose biscuits, 20 dos soy sauce, 20 dos sambel, 60 packages kid were, 60 family kit package, 20 packs of clothing, 200 blankets and side dishes each of which is 240 packets A, B and C.
For the needs of Gunung Agung refugees who have not covered, it requested to Pemkab Karangasem make details of goods needed refugees quickly to the Ministry of Social Affairs.
"I make sure all the needs of refugees will be met to fill the existing warehouses in order to anticipate the unexpected things," he said.
Although the PVMBG officer explained to the Minister of Social Affairs that the hazard indications from Gunung Agung have not been significant and worrying, his side affirmed that all the logistical needs of both food and medicine for refugees should always be ready.
"My arrival here also wants to get an explanation from PVMBG officers and explanations from local government related to what the needs of the refugees, whether already served or not," he said.
For additional projection of the basic needs of refugees in the future, it asks the local government immediately filed to the Ministry of Social Affairs. "We just wait for the letter from the regent, that's all," he said.
With regard to the direction of the refugees to return to their homes outside the radius of four kilometers, Idrus said, all depends on the indications of the impact of Mount Agung's activities.
"So all the people I hope to be careful, because the problem of eruption or not Mount Agung is sometimes difficult to predict, but the indication is not worrisome," he said.
