INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Home Minister Tjahjo Kumolo said that the Governor of West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Tuan Guru Bajang (TGB) Zainal Majdi expressed his support to Joko Widodo as President of two periods because the development runs very Indonesia centric.
"Legally, all regional heads do not see him where his party will definitely support the central government because there is synergy development in the region," said Tjahjo at Parliament Complex, Jakarta, Tuesday (10/07/2018)
He said the support is very reasonable because it recognizes that the development of President Jokowi proclaimed is Indonesia centric and there are benefits for the wider community.
Therefore, according to him is very reasonable when the governors support Jokowi as the president of two periods although his party has different options.
"The governor of West Sumatra is also like that, we do not see his party but he acknowledges that the development of President Jokowi is Indonesia centric, so it is supported for two periods, whether it is okay, even if his party has other options," he said.
According to him, the head of the region has a responsibility to convey the aspirations of the people who assess the development in the era of President Jokowi succeed and create equity.
He considered unnecessary people to be cynical about the attitude of TBG because the concerned feel the effects of development.
It was the same as in West Sumatera in 2014 Presidential vote Jokowi lost but the governor currently supports Jokowi because it felt the effects of development such as infrastructure, economic, and social.
Meanwhile, on the other hand, according to Tjahjo reasonable if there is a regional head that supports the figure outside Jokowi in the 2019 presidential election because every citizen has the right to be elected and voted.
"The nomination of other parties is not a legitimate government coalition, there is no rule because every citizen has the right to be elected and vote," he said.
Previously, NTB Governor TGB Zainul Majdi expressed support for President Joko Widodo to continue his leadership during the second period as President of Indonesia on Wednesday (4/7).
According to TGB, his decision to support Jokowi was after a consideration related to the benefit of the nation, people and common sense.
He considered that during Jokowi's lead, the achievement of Mandalika's special economic zone in NTB has been successful and if there is a change in the level of national leadership, there will be economic and social stagnation in Mandalika and NTB.
