Angkasa Pura II Prepares Rp 3.7 Trillion Revitalization of Terminal 1 and 2 of Soetta Airport

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta- Management PT Angkasa Pura II prepares Rp3.7 trillion (capex) budget to revitalize Terminal 2 and 2 Soekarno-Hatta Airport (Soetta) to Low Cost Carrier Terminal (LCCT).

He said the revitalization program is linear with the Ministry of Tourism (Kemenpar) program to boost the target of 20 million foreign tourists visit (foreign tourists).
In addition, Muhammad Awaluddin said in line with the instruction of SOE Minister Rini Soemarno to PT Angkasa Pura II to participate more actively in government programs to increase the flow of foreign tourists. One way of hoisting the number of foreign tourists is through the Low Cost Carrier Terminal (LCTT).
He explained that actually PT Angkasa Pura II already has LCCT namely Terminal 1 of Soekarno-Hatta Airport. "In the future, we plan Terminal 1 to be a full LCCT domestic flight. While Terminal 2 full LCCT for domestic and international flights, "he explained.
Existing Terminals 3 and Terminal 4, to be built, are dedicated to full service terminals. "Thus, international flights Lion, Scoot and so on will operate in Terminal 2. While full service flights are fully in Terminals 3 and 4," he said.
Asked about the readiness of Terminal 2 to be a full LCCT of domestic and international flights, he explained parallel to the revitalization program.
"In addition, the operation is parallel with the completion of the process in related institutions including Immigration, Customs, Quarantine and licensing at the Ministry of Transportation. With the synergy that has been solid, the process will quickly finalize, "said Awaluddin.
In relation to providing full support for tourism, Awaluddin said all airports under the management of PT Angkasa Pura II held so many activities, including art and cultural performances.
"We also display a variety of displays presenting wealth and local wisdom. In many events, airport employees wear local customs, "he said.
In the program, he explained PT Angkasa Pura II cooperated in the context of state-owned synergy and coordinated with Ministry of Tourism and Ministry of Tourism.
He mentioned the promotion of tourism is also encouraged in promoting the 2018 Asian Games event. "We are all out in promoting tourism and the Asian Games," he said.
