Farmers Gain Rp5.5 Trillions to Increase Local Fruit Production

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Agriculture Minister, Amran Sulaiman said the government has allocated a budget of Rp 5.5 trillion to support local farmers' productivity in developing local fruit and food.

"We will give seeds and fertilizers whose value reaches Rp 5.5 trillion from September to next year," he said after a local fruit campaign event in the area of ​​Free Day of Motor Vehicles in Thamrin area, Jakarta, Sunday (13/8 / 2017)

Especially for seeds, Amran said the species will be tailored to the benefits of each region. "Any fruit, if possible all, ranging from mango and others," he said.

According to Amran, local Indonesian fruits have great potential to become commodities that can be exported because local fruits such as mango, mangos teen to pineapple, have many ogled by other countries, especially in the four seasons.

"Mango, mangos teen, it's a good prospect, and so are pineapple, many countries have asked for Japan, China, and Europe also ask for pineapple and mangos teen," he said.

He said if other countries are already enamored with the fruit of Indonesia, the people of Indonesia also should duly love and consumes local fruits grown farmers in the country.

He called for people to consume local Indonesian fruit. Besides the delicious taste and varieties of abundant fruit, consuming local fruits will prosper the local farmers.

"Loving the local product is the same as loving red white, loving the Indonesian people, loving this country, loving the farmers, let's move our horticulture, plantations and fruits because the future is here," he said.
